Okay, this one makes me laugh. I thought the Style Series, which was this year’s effort at a novel approach to capsules, was a failure.
Yes, I like some aspects of it, such as establishing a few wardrobe goals for each season. However, the remainder of it was simply not as beneficial as I had hoped.
I’m bidding that series farewell.
Instead, I would like to create a seasonal capsule post, similar to what I used to write. The problem is that I don’t want it to be as stiff as it was in the past, when I was like, “These are the smallest 37 pieces I’m wearing for exactly nine months no matter what.”
Once more, attempting to get rid of my binary, either-or inclinations. Do you see a pattern? 🙂
In any case, my best plan at the moment is to publish an unstructured capsule at the start of each season, followed by one or two updates during that time so we can discuss what’s working, what’s not, and any elements I’ve added or removed during the way to improve or make the more useful. It is therefore more lively and “real life.”
I’m entirely open to any suggestions because I don’t have everything sorted out yet. What features would you’re fond of to see in a capsule post that is less organized and more fluid? I’d be interested in knowing what you think would be most beneficial.
A LOOKÂ FORWARD TO 2017

Unfancy is going to maintain the same outfit-a-day vibe in 2017, and I’ll keep adding more ethical products to my closet gradually and deliberately. Additionally, I’m eager to add more color to my clothing and figure out ways to do it in a way that emphasizes minimalism. Lastly, I’m looking forward to introducing you to my gear in new ways, such as discussing issues like organization and clothing maintenance, posting films from my closet, and taking a fresh approach to capsules.
But first, on January 9th, my friend Lee from Trend Bee and I will collaborate on a second 10×10 remix challenge! I am really excited about this, so please put it on your calendars!
You all have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season! Whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re having a great time. And from the bottom of my heart, I want to say how much I appreciate you sharing the journey via me this year.
